Starting with the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade/ Charlotte Goes Green Festival in Uptown and ending at the Dog Bar for the after Pawty, the day for everyone Irish, (and those playing Irish for a day) is sure to be a fun-filled one.
Amongst Irish dancers and colorful floats, the parade in uptown Charlotte also features several local rescues such as Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love, the Charlotte Humane Society, and the American Pit Bull Foundation. Goodies for the kids and furry four-leggers are handed out during the family friendly parade. Well behaved furry friends are always a welcome addition to the activities.
The parade starts at 11am from the corner of 9th Street and Tryon Street and ends in a crowd of food, fun, and various green festivities.
At 1:00 pm, the St. Patrick’s Day Pawty kicks off at the Dog Bar in NoDa, very close to uptown, with music, treats for everyone, and of course, multiple, adoptable fabulous Great Danes will be making appearances.
The $5 donation to get in to the Pawty includes a free drink. An array of new collars will be available for shoppers, and all of the proceeds benefit the local Great Dane Rescue.
Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is dedicated to saving Danes and other mixed breeds, even if they have special needs or health problems.
Join the shenanigans on Saturday, March 17th and help support your local animal rescue organizations.
