1st Annual Artisan Food Festival at Pike Place Market this weekend

Don't miss the first annual Pike Place Market Artisan Food Festival this weekend. The festivities include chef demonstrations, live music, children’s activities, a beer garden and 23 wineries. There is something for all interests and ages. The festival runs all day Saturday and Sunday.

  • Saturday, September 25, 10am - 6pm
  • Sunday, September 26, 10am - 5pm
The Artisan Food Festival replaces the Street Festival previously held in June at Pike Place Market, which began as a craft fair in 1971. The new Artisan Food Festival is modeled after Salone Del Gusto, a popular festival in Torino, Italy. The Artisan Food Festival celebrates the bounty of the Pacific Northwest, farmers and artisans who produce some of the nation's best produce, seafood, wine, and artisan chocolate.

The Festival features ten outdoor pavilions on Pike Place, each offering a unique theme: beer and wine, bread, cheese, chocolate, coffee and tea, meat, vegetables, sustainability, and crafts. Pavilion sponsors include Café Vita (coffee & tea); Pike Brewing Co. (beer); Charlie’s Produce (chef stage); Sur La Table (bread & cheese); and the American Lamb Board (meat). Over 100 exhibitors are expected, offering plenty of product information and goods for sale.

Live music on the main stage includes a different act at the top of each hour, starting at 11 a.m. each day, featuring jazz, rock, blues, world music, and indie pop. Another busker's stage features your favorite Market street performer.

The Pike Place Market Artisan Festival is produced by the Market Foundation.  Proceeds from the Festival benefit the low-income clients who rely on the Market’s social services, which include the Medical Clinic, Childcare & Preschool, Senior Center, and Downtown Food Bank.
