It looks like they’re getting a head start on the matrimonial move in! “19 Kids and Counting” stars Ben Seewald and Jessa Duggar are shacking up. Well, in a way. On Wednesday, People posted preview video of the upcoming season of the TLC reality show, and it reveals that 18-year-old Seewald, who recently proposed to the Duggar daughter, has moved in to the family’s home in Tontitown, Arkansas.
"He moved up here a few weeks ago," Jim Bob Duggar told the magazine. "It has been really good. He has been able to spend a lot more time with Jessa and our family. We have a guesthouse in front of our house, with a shower and everything, separate from the main house." The Duggar patriarch also said Seewald’s parents were on board with their son’s recent move to the family abode.
While the clip shows Jessa ecstatic over her beau’s closer quarters (his family’s home is four hours away, in Hot Springs, Ark.), Seewald may have his work cut out for him. In addition to juggling his college workload online, he’ll be working for his future father in law. Seewald will take on construction projects, grass mowing, and even do some paperwork for the supersize family. But his new neighbor status won’t pave the way for a fiance free for all.
"They always have a chaperone," Jim Bob explained. "It has just worked out great. It is a little more labor intensive for Dad – we did set a curfew. By midnight, every night, we need to make sure everybody is back in their place.”
It’s also safe to assume the newly engaged couple won’t be tempted to sneak a kiss now that it’s so convenient, and will stick to side hugs up until their wedding day. Earlier this year, Jessa told Cosmopolitan.com that all of the Duggar girls “have really purposed to save our first kiss for our wedding day.”
As for their own future home, the too-cute couple recently registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, and in addition to a wish list that includes a banana yellow Keurig and a professional Belgian waffle maker, the registry reveals a wedding date of Nov. 1.That means the couple will tie the knot less than three months after they became engaged.
The new season of “19 Kids and Counting” debuts on TLC on Sept. 2.
