After nearly five months in the hospital, the newest member of the "19 Kids and Counting" family is heading home. In a new statement to People Magazine, Michelle Duggar confirmed that their youngest child, Josie, is done with her time in the hospital:
"We are so happy...We are so excited, we are running on adrenaline. I have been getting into the routine of every three hours feeding, diapering and taking her temperature. We are so encouraged that she is doing so well."
This news will hopefully ease some stress in the Duggar household, which has literally been all over Arkansas so far this month. The family temporarily moved to Little Rock in order to be close to the baby (who was born 25 weeks premature) -- meanwhile, they have also been shooting new episodes for their hit TLC show.
"19 Kids and Counting" will air a special episode entitled "Josie Comes Home" on Sunday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. I hope Michelle and Jim Bob take their time before producing number 20, this baby will be totally different care-wise from their full term off-spring. She will need Michelle to be her "primary" caregiver for over a year, care that is too important to delegate away and it will be stressful and tiring. And what if the next baby needs special care too? God gave us brains to consider these possibilities, he doesn't just rain babies down on us because we deserve as many as we can possibly produce. That said, I wish them the best and no more complications
Michelle needs to keep her legs shut, enough is enough. These children are taking care of children, she needs to be stopped.

I was a premature and I have made it and I know Josie will too and she has shown the doctors, her fans and her family that God is in control. Ronda - a celebration of what? that Michelle likes to have sex? ridiculous. having 19 children is unfair to the children who end up having to take care of each other and have no real child hood or relationship with their parents. Time to close up the baby factory.

I really am shocked by the writer above. A miracle baby has fought for her life for 5 months and the only thing they can write is rude, intolerant, ignorance for something that is different from what they know. What is wrong with American people? How can someone look at the suffering and the anxiety these parents have gone through for the last few months and write what she wrote?
I find no other parents more worthy of 19 children than the Duggars!!! What a blessing that Josie is coming home! May God continue to bless the Duggars for their obedience. And may he also use them as a witness to all of us of the bountiful gifts he has for each of us if we only seek him! And don't worry all you critics, God's gifts aren't always in the form of children, but I do believe it is one of his greatest gifts:)
God loves all these children and has a plan for all of them they all look very happy if you watch the show do you even know what a real childhood is or a real relationship with you parents??? i think the family has an excellent relationship with each other. how many women do you know that have 19 kids obviously this was Gods plan for her to be able to carry 19 kids is a miracle that only God can make happen. she is obeying God and his plan for her and her husbands life and there is nothing wrong with having sex and liking it. who does not like to have sex? that is why God created it FOR A HUSBAND AND WIFE to enjoy together. Also little Josie is another miracle that God has a plan for this little baby was born when she was only 5 months old she was a living baby that had all her parts and people get abortions at this age in the womb how can we not call this murdering one of the 10 commandments is thou shall not murder. people need to wake up and see what is really going on in this world
these parents love there children very much.this family is a very loving family and everyone takes care of everyone like it should be. it is not children taking care of children. get your facts straight. someone needs to quit with the lies, also one of the 10 commandments. hmmm

I really REALLY hope they think twice before having another one - not because they aren't good parents, but because Michelle is simply getting too old and is at high risk, which has obviously come to fruition as this most recent baby was born premature (though I don't know the circumstances surrounding that) but Michelle is nearly 44. Time to just concentrate on the 19 children they have.

Duggar Family: God has sustained you and your baby, Josie. At the time of this writing, I am sure you have enjoyed having your baby home for a month. As the Bible says, Fear Not. I understand the concern after leaving the hospital with a preemie and not having medical staff with you, but God is the ultimate healer. Trust him. Blessings to you and yours.
I love all these idiots in here talking about "God's plan". As if God had nothing better to do than make this idiot lay down and spread her legs open. Guess there aren't enough depressingly lackluster and average people in the world yet to suit the Almighty.
For those who are saying that it is crap that the Duggars are saying that it is God's will for them to have so many children. If they didn't have so many children they wouldn't have their T.V. show about them and might not be so successful financially that they are. Also you can't speak for God so your probably shouldn't try to. The Duggars don't say anything bad about anyone, but yet their are people who just criticize them to death.
I have always watched your show and have always enjoyed it, however now I feel we have something in common. My youngest daughter had two premature babies. Her first Addy was three months premature and Cohen was two months early. It's all so scarey, but things have gone well. They are one and two years of age now and are growing like leaves. I know that your luck will go the same way. God is with you and yours. Josie is a beauty and I cry every time I watch your show. God bless and enjoy her. She's a gift from god!
These parents completely self support their family without any handouts or on the dole. They don't ask for help except from each other. But now is the time to take stock. They have brought into their world a very sick child that had to return to the hospital. Because of her age, Michelle is past the prime of her childbearing years. And with each forthcoming pregnancy, she increases the risk of not only her own health but that of any future babies. So what happens to all of these kids if they lose the only mother they have because the father is not willing to have a vaastectomy?
The Dugger have a godly set of value you. I wish baby Josie god blessing in her recovery. I feel its time for Michael to stop having children. She is putting herself at risk and any other children she put on this earth.
I love this family! They are kind people who know how to raise good decent kids and I absolutely congratulate then for that in this crazy world,however, having said that, I would love to see these kids having the opportunity to go to college/university! They're smart enough but will their parents allow it? Not sure they would but I still commend them for having well rounded kids who are so well brought up! They're always in good humour and nothing bad to say about other people ever! I would be totally proud to be these kids' grandma!
