19 arrested at mall: Teen mob at Chicago mall causes chaos, 19 student arrests

19 arrested at mall has become a trending topic on major search engines today after the CS Monitor reported this Monday, Feb. 25, that following a Mindless Behavior concert, 19 teens were arrested on misdemeanor mob charges at a Chicago mall this week. While the arrests were made less than an hour after concert, police officials noted that the incident was not a direct result of the boy band concert.

Nineteen teens were recently arrested after a major disturbance caused the closing of a local Chicago mall, leaving two people on scene injured. A Chicago police officer noted that the teens were arrested this Saturday, aging from 13 to 18, and consisted of both male and female students.

The 19 arrested at mall became trending after the teens formed a mob and started “chaos inside of the Chicago mall,” said the report, leaking out into the parking lot, where several of the teens began to climb on top of cars. The teens are currently charged with mob action, a misdemeanor, while one 16-year-old was additionally arrested for battery of a security guard at the mall who was trying to help others evacuate.
