16 Mile Brewing Company in Georgetown, Delaware plan to hold their first New Year’s Eve celebration, starting at 7:30 PM in the brewery’s tavern. Chad and Brett plan to offer their unique blends of craft brews, live music and catering by Catcher’s for the cost of $25.
All food served at the gathering is made with a version of 16 Mile’s beers. Choices include cheddar Harvest Ale soup, mini Maryland crabcakes, Amber battered coconut shrimp, Blues Golden fried asparagus spears, Responders mac & cheese squares, and shaved prime rib in puff pastry with torched horseradish. In addition to the unique menu items, all pints will be $3 for the entire night.
“We are bringing back a couple of personal favorites for tonight’s infusions,” said Claus Hagelman, public relations director for the brewery. “Amber Sun with apples and cinnamon and Old Court with dried chipotle peppers will be available at the brewery tonight.” The brewery creates an infusion beer on a weekly basis that can only be sampled at the brewery.
Live music will be provided at the brewery by Matt Lafferty from 7:30 to 9:30 PM and Cliff McCall from 10 PM to 12 midnight.
In addition, the tavern is open throughout the day for those who need additional bottles or growlers for their New Year’s Eve celebrations. Tours are also available for anyone who is interested. For more information, visit them online or call 302-253-8816.
