The competitor looked confident when she stepped into the rink and her program offered a beauty that many viewers felt could be medal worthy. Looking to make her mark in the Olympics, her score for the program was 68.63. Her score leads the pack of American athletes as she is fourth on the scoreboard.

Glancing in the stands fans could see Gold’s mom was cheering her daughter on during the big moment in Sochi. The 18-year-old figure skater definitely had some of the biggest cheerleaders of her career in the stands. Even her twin sister, her number one fan, was cheering her on during the competition.

There has been a lot of talk about Gracie Gold at the Olympics. The pressure for the star must be substantial. She performed strong previously and held up in Sochi too. Now the battle continues and on Thursday night the fans will see her compete for the gold. Being she is in fourth place she not only leads America but has a real possibility of winning some hardware.
