Fans may remember Ebony Jackson-Rendon from the first season of "16 and Pregnant." She had a very unfortunate story to share that only got worse as time when on. Recently, fans learned of a new tell-all book being published that featured interviews, stories and other bits of behind the scenes things that never made it to one of MTV's most popular docu-series, "Teen Mom." On April 19 Wetpaint reveals that Ebony Jackson Rendon has spilled her guys out to the writers of the book in hopes of rectifying some of the nasty rumors that were circulating about her.
As fans know, Ebony and her husband, Josh, had their daughter, Jocelyn, taken from them by child protective services in 2011. They were arrested for drug possession and living in unfit conditions with their daughter. What fans aren't aware of is that around that same time, Ebony suffered a miscarriage then was diagnosed with being manic depressive.
Ebony Jackson-Rendon tells the writers of "Teen Mom Confidential" that she was on depression medication but it wasn't working and it was a horrible, downhill spiral for her. She began neglecting day-to-day duties like housecleaning and sometimes even getting out of bed. The Department of Health Services showed up one day and reported that there was drug paraphernalia and the home had dog feces on the floor.
Ebony claims that the statements that DHS made that ultimately had her daughter removed from her isn't completely true. She says that there was no feces, just stains on the carpet from a litter of puppies one of the couple's dogs had had. Also, the feces that were found on the wall actually belonged to her daughter, Jocelyn, who has a poop fascination. She says that they cleaned it off the wall, of course, but the feces had stained the paint so they attempted to cover it with a dresser.
As for the drugs, Ebony Jackson-Rendon shares that she took one for the team there since they belonged to the friend that was living with them at the time, the same "friend" that had alerted the authorities about the couple's house. She says that her friend didn't want her husband to know she was using again and hid them there, but Ebony too the fall because nobody believed her.
Lastly, despite the claims that Ebony's own father made, she did end up going to rehab, but it wasn't for drugs. She went to get help with her manic depression so that she could live a better life and get her daughter back. Ebony says that she is also still seeing a counselor to this day to help her when the days turn a little gray.
Now, Ebony and Josh have gotten Jocelyn back and she is starting pre-school and the couple just gave birth to their second daughter, Jayda Jewel. Josh is working as a car salesman and Ebony is a professional dog trainer living in New Mexico. The couple have turned their life around and Ebony is in a better place mentally now that she has learned of her diagnosis and gotten on the appropriate medications while in the hospital.
