151st New Ipswich Children's Fair

It was a bit depressing to awake on the morning of August 18th 2012 to the sound of rainfall knowing that weeks had gone into the planning for the 151st New Ipswich Children's Fair which is held on the grounds of the Congregational Church in New Ipswich, NH.

Thankfully the rain ended before the fair began and the weather was ideal for all the venues.

There were some additional attractions that were added this year. Cub Scout troop 122 of New Ipswich/Greenville sponsored two bounce houses located to the right of the chicken barbeque. Also Mike Ordway of Mason Brook Nursery performed acoustic music for the queue of people waiting for the hay ride.

I serve the role of co-chair of the garden shop and would like to acknowledge the generous donations of our local businesses that donated plants for our area.

The fair is a multigenerational affair and many folks travel back to New Ipswich to spend the day with their children and grandchildren.
