150 mph golf cart

This has got to be the world's fastest golf cart! Powered by a Suzuki GSX-R750 engine, this golf cart chassis with motorcycle engine swap is awesome! Also fitted with a custom suspension to help stabilize the vehicle at high speed, the golf car is specially tuned and reinforced to withstand the power displaced by the huge 750 cc Suzuki engine. The inline four cylinder design is ideal for a rear wheel drive application. This cart probably uses some sort of a sprocket swap from the GSX-R750.

Suzuki GSXR-750 specifications:

  • Horizontal inline four cylinder
  • DOHC 16 valves
  • 150 horsepower @ 13000 RPM
  • 80 tq @ 13000 RPM
  • 0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds
  • 11.2 second quarter mile at 131 mph

These types of motorcycle engine swaps are being done to more than just golf carts. The Tata Nano, Nissan Cube, Nissan LEAF, and SMART cars are all candidates for motorcycle engine swaps. The larger vehicles tend to do better with the 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa swap. Whichever you chose to swap, either golf cart or fuel efficient eco-vehicles, the motorcycle engine swap is a great choice for any sports car enthusiast looking to spice up the driving experience! Let's check out the footage of the 150 mph golf cart!

It's unlikely that the golf cart is going 150mph. I'm sure going 70 in that thing feels like 150 because of how sketchy it is, but without some indicator such as a GPS display, or something I have to call fake on that one.

What about counting the gears? I hear five gears, maybe six. Hard to tell with wind noise

Although it is an nifty combination, I think a solar powered golf cart is more interesting. Check out solarpowergolfcart.com for more info.
