A 15-lb. baby born in California to a petite mom who stands only 5’1” tall is causing quite the buzz today. This 15-lb. baby is believed the biggest ever born in California, according to “Fox and Friends” live on Monday morning Jan. 20.

Andrew Jacob Cervantez came into the world weighing 15-lb., 2 oz. and measured 24” long. The big baby was born by C-section to his tiny mom Vanessa Cervantez, reports the Christian Science Monitor today.

This is the third baby for Vanessa with her other two kids weighing 10 lbs. 10 oz. and 9 lbs. 14 oz. when they were born, so she is used to giving birth to big babies. While her previous babies weighing 10 lbs. were big, this new baby was a shocker.

Vanessa asked the nurses to weigh the baby again when the nurses told her how much her baby weighed. She thought the scale was broken. Mom and baby are doing fine and the doctors who delivered the baby had never delivered a baby this large before at the hospital she is in.
