The 14th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration was held recently in New Orleans as a prelude to the popular and highly anticipated NFL Super Bowl game. A very strong lineup of popular artists such as Fantasia, Lecrae and Myron Butler took the stage for the annual celebration. The event was hosted by popular gospel music artist Kirk Franklin and TV actress Sherri Shepherd.
The event is sanctioned by the NFL as one of several events that takes place right before the NFL's biggest game. The event features Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling gospel and contemporary Christian and mainstream artists as well as marquee NFL players and the NFL Players Choir.
The event has been demonstrating tremendous growth over the years. There has been recent sell-outs of venues in Super Bowl host cities including San Diego, Tampa, Detroit, Jacksonville and Houston.
The event, which also serves as a fundraiser, has donated close to $400,000 and 5,000 tickets over the last eleven years.
