Answers to Questions 1-7
1. Why did Elin suddenly decide to do an interview after 9 months of silence? Elin gave several reasons why she finally decided to speak out: to set the record straight, to let people know a little bit about who she is, to bring closure to her ordeal and facilitate the healing process. Elin says her interview with People magazine is her first and last interview. She says she will go back to being a private person and has no intention of discussing these matters again.
2. Didn’t the terms of the divorce include a confidentiality clause? Tiger wanted Elin to sign a lifetime confidentiality clause which would have barred her from writing or speaking publicly about their marriage, his affairs, and their subsequent divorce. Word from Elin’s camp is that Elin rejected an offer of more money so she could retain her freedom to speak freely or write about her marriage to Tiger should she so choose.
3. Was Tiger Woods aware that Elin was going to do a tell-all interview? In an interview with Good Morning America, Peter Castro, Deputy Managing Editor, of People magazine, described how Tiger surprised everyone by returning the children from their visitation with him, while the photographer and reporter from People magazine were there. Castro says it was such a tender moment for all, with Elin reminding the children to kiss Tiger goodbye, that People decided to use that as the opening scenario in Elin’s interview.
4. Exactly where and how was the interview with Elin conducted? The People magazine interview was conducted by Washington correspondent Sandra Sobieraj Westfallat at Elin’s rented home in Windmere, Florida (located about a mile from Tiger and Elin’s marital home) It was completed 5 days prior to the finalization of Tiger and Elin’s divorce See Details on the Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren Divorce – It’s Official ! – Get the Inside Scoop The interview required 4 visits and took 19 hours to complete. Elin’s team approached People and offered the exclusive interview (which they jumped at), but Elin set certain ground rules for the interview. Elin discussed People’s questions with them beforehand, but wrote down her answers because she didn’t feel “100% confident in her spoken English.” Elin would not allow People to photograph the children. 5. Did Elin know Tiger Woods was cheating on her? Elin says she had no idea Tiger Woods was cheating on her. In addition to saying that she was blindsided by Tiger’s affairs, Elin said she was embarrassed that she never suspected what was going on, and felt betrayed by many people around her. 6. Did Elin explain what happened the night of the car crash in November when all hell broke loose? Elin’s explanation is tha when Tiger left the house and didn’t return, she became worried and went out to look for him. She found him asleep in his locked car, and tried everything she could to get Tiger out. Elin added, “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.” She insists that there was never any violence inside or outside their home.
7. What did Elin have to say about Tiger’s mistresses? Nothing at all. Elin didn’t dignify them by mentioning or referring to them in her interview.

I commend Elin Nordegren for her courage and determination to come public! Elin has a right to set the record straight after all the false rumors and innuendos that has been said about her for the last nine months. Elin has been badly wronged by Tiger, his mistresses and the media, so it was only fair that she had her say!!! Elin has been an inspiration to all the decent women around the world because of her dignity, self respect, courage and grace during this horrid ordeal! Elin and her precious children will have a very happy and bright future! Elin said it best” it is better to be alone and happy than in a marriage without trust”! I have no sympathy whatsoever for Tiger Woods. What he did to his wife and children was criminal, coward and truly undeserved!!! Sooner or later he will pay for this! Tiger will not escape KARMA!!!
Regarding questin 5. Did Elin know Tiger Woods was cheating on her?
What _exactly_ does the article say?
Does it say something that she knew nothing until Tiger confirmed it (read it some other place).
Does it say when that happened?
I mean she might not have known anything until he confirmed it but that could have happened several months earlier or when he understood that the article would be printed - he promising to stop - she understanding that he would never because of his messaging to Rachel...
