Halloween is right around the corner, which means it is time for one of my favorite Atlanta traditions: the annual Little Five Points Halloween Parade and Festival.

This Saturday, October 19, a host of costumed revelers and spectators young and old will flock to Little Five Points for the 13th Annual Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade. Taking place from noon until 11pm, this all day festival will feature two stages of music, food vendors, and an artist and vendors market.

Here is the schedule of performances and events:

Jagermeister Stage (Located in Findley Plaza)

  • 12 p.m. Community Music Center performance
  • 1 p.m.Mercury Orkestar (Balkan Brass Band)
  • 2 p.m. Grim Rooster
  • 3 p.m. Julea and Her Dear Johns
  • 4 p.m.-6 p.m. L5P Halloween Parade – Sponsored by YP
  • 6 p.m. Cletis & His City Cousins
  • 7 p.m. Caroline & the Ramblers
  • 8 p.m. Strung Like a Horse
  • 9 p.m. The Higher Choir

Wrecking Bar Brewpub Stage (Located in the Star Bar Parking Lot)

  • 2 p.m. Casket Creatures
  • 3 p.m. Walk from the Gallows
  • 4 p.m.-6 p.m. L5P Halloween Parade – Sponsored by YP
  • 6 p.m. Andrew & the Disapyramids
  • 7 p.m. The Biters
  • 8 p.m. Stonerider
  • 9 p.m. The Locksmyth
  • 10 p.m. Jungol

The Annual Little Five Points Halloween Parade and Festival is not only a celebration of my favorite holiday, but the event truly captures the unique artistic and energetic spirit of L5P. No one does Halloween like Little Five Points; the costumed participants and performers in the parade, the spectators, and the vendors all come together to share a great experience.

A word to the wise: traffic and parking can get crazy--especially close to 4 p.m. when the parade starts. If you can't get there early, it is recommended to take MARTA!
