Looking for a new job is tough. Actually, it's almost beyond comprehension for those that aren't actively searching for a new position. However, it can get too serious at times. Relax the job search stress today (at least long enough to read this article!).

  1. You're seriously considering answering the Craigslist ad for a "serial killer assistant."
  2. You answer all phone calls with your name and a list of your top skills.
  3. You're networking so often that you accidently shake your wife's hand and introduce yourself over dinner.
  4. When telemarketers call, you ask them to "put in a good word for you."
  5. Your old friends are afraid to call, because they don't want you grilling them for openings at their companies.
  6. You have 47 versions of your resume ready to send at a moment's notice.
  7. You think this guy is an amateur.
  8. You've handed out more resumes than Britney Spears has sold tickets.
  9. You're actually thinking that some of these things might work.
  10. You've memorized every recruiter's name within a 150-mile radius.
  11. You can post your resume on any of the top job boards blindfolded. And handcuffed. While surrounded by a pack of wild mongooses.
  12. You read this list and you blushed (I know you're out there!).
  13. You read this list and thought you could do better.
