A 13-page suicide note written and left by the woman who committed suicide by leaping from a building with her baby strapped to her chest has been found.
The baby in question, miraculously, survived the plunge.
According to the NY Daily News, the mom jumped to her death from a building in Harlem. But because she landed on her back, her baby suffered only scratches.
In the 13-page suicide letter, the mother takes herself to task for being a bad mom to her young child. Feeling that her life wouldn’t get better, she decided to jump out of a building to end it all with her 10-month-old strapped to her body.
One witness describes what the horrifying incident looked and sounded like.
It was a loud bang,” he said outside the woman’s building on Bradhurst Ave. near W. 147th St. “It sounded like a big piece of wood hitting the floor.”
“When I got closer, I saw the baby crying,” he said.
Now, the baby’s ability to be able to survive the fall is being called a miracle.
