12 road trips to reconnect, Part 1

On the road to anywhere and everywhere

There’s something about summer and road trips. (The folks at Sweetwater Brewery must know this, as their “Road Trip” beer is only brewed in the hottest season.) Maybe it takes you back to being on school vacation, traveling to Grandma’s in your parents’ old station wagon. Or perhaps it’s that sense of freedom that comes with an open road and an unknown destination. Trips like this are meant for the spontaneous ("Oh look- is that the World’s Largest Twine Ball?!"), but they’re also great for those who want to reconnect. It doesn’t matter where you are, as long as you have great company. How many people can say they’ve held a conversation for 8 states long? A good road trip should be an escape, so if you feel like living in the moment, create some rockin’ playlists and spin those wheels.

Can’t decide where to go? If your love life is becoming Boring, don’t get Defeated and pretend it’s Algood or you may end up in Fort Lonesome. Instead, use those Sweet Lips to Frostproof your relationship and tell your partner you Needmore. The path to Utopia can be Difficult, and even if it doesn’t lead to Intercourse you can still take Comfort in knowing that there is a Friendsville. Maybe you’ll hit all of these places in one go, maybe not. It’s all about the journey.
