‘On the eigth day of Christmas
My true love gave to me...
Eight maids-a-milking,
Seven swans-a-swimming,
Six geese-a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree.’
Milk not only does a body good, it can do a well-mixed cocktail good. The addition of milk (and/or cream) adds a rich, hearty quality to alcoholic beverages (and a dash of otherwise absent nutritional value). Keep the milking maids content with these dreamy, delectable cocktails.
