Space: everyone in New York wants it, but not everyone can afford it. There are two solutions to this problem: have no worldly possessions, or be organized.
Caboodles votes for the latter.
In 1987, Vanna White was featured in People Magazine with her Plano Molding Co. tackle box to house her makeup, and the rest is history. Thanks to Vanna, women have turned to Caboodles, the queen bee of all beauty organizers, for the last 25 years to keep their cosmetics in order. Not just for the fashion set or media industry folks, Caboodles boasts a range of designs with one to fit any personality. Caboodles are reasonably priced between $10 to $50 a pop, and can be found easily in the New York City area Target stores.
Caboodle is every well put together gal's beauty secret keeper, which naturally makes her one of the most knowledgeable beauty and style experts of all time. Thankfully, she has kindly taken the time to chat with Examiner about what gets her in the holiday spirit, and share her holiday style savvy.
Examiner: How do you celebrate the winter holiday season?
Caboodle: By giving of course! Every year we donate $50,000 to the TODAY Show toy drive, but the giving doesn’t stop there! We spread the love by donating products to worthy causes all year round.
Examiner: What is your favorite holiday memory?
Caboodle: We partnered with Polished Girlz, a group of young girls who travel to girls and boys with special needs or frequent hospitalizations by bringing the trendiest nail art parties to them! Last year our team and Polished Girlz brought a little holiday cheer to the kids at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago by hosting a festive manicure party.
Examiner: You have one of those tiny sparkly cocktail purses and you are going to the party of the year, what goes into it?
Caboodle: Always lip gloss, nobody wants a dry pucker especially when you never know if you’ll stumble under some mistletoe with that cutie you’ve been eyeing all year ;)
Examiner: It is actually the annual office holiday bash--what is an appropriate look?
Caboodle: What a perfect opportunity to spice things up a tiny bit and let your personality shine. You know your office culture better than anyone so use your discretion; an easy way to fancy up an office-appropriate ensemble is with a simple fabric swap. We are obsessed with velvet right now, pick out a jewel toned circle skirt or a black velvet blazer and poof! You’re party fabulous, office appropriate and still warm!
Examiner: Do you believe in Santa?
Caboodle: Of course! Santa is all things magical and helps us remember that anything is possible if you just believe. Plus anyone who can rock that many accessories (chunky boots, wide black belt and a floppy hat) and still make it work deserves mad props!
Examiner: What is your pick this year for a fail proof holiday beauty gift for your favorite gals?
Caboodle: We recommend our Caboodles Goddess grande train case. It’s sleek style is one of our most popular because it’s so versatile, plus it was the favorite with the fashion & beauty editors at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!
Examiner: Finally, talk about your dearest wish for this holiday season.
Caboodle: We wish for the happiness and safety of our troops at home and overseas.
In the spirit of holiday giving, Caboodles is partnering with Examiner Alice An to offer a giveaway. Swing by Made (Up) in NY to enter to win a beautiful Femme Fatale total tote and stay tuned, a new giveaway will be posted every day leading up to December 25th.
