Carnival Cruise Lines has now canceled 12 more cruises on the Carnival Triumph. Honestly they will be lucky if anyone ever wants to go on that boat again. On Feb. 13, Yahoo reported that after these problems at least 12 more cruises won't be happening and it could end up being more.
The ship will not be going back on the water until after April while they fix problems on it. This also means that a lot of people are without a job or will have to move to another ship for a few months.
The Triumph was originally supposed to leave two hours late, but didn't leave until 8 p.m. that night. This was because of a propulsion problem.
We personally have cruised this ship in the past and it had problems as well. Our cruise was late leaving, had to stop in the middle of the ocean for a bit to fix something, and then had to go really fast to play catch up. It actually stopped more than once. Carnival was unwilling to do anything to compensate the people on this trip almost a year ago.
They are now offering them an additional $500, but this is probably not going to be enough to make people happy. They are already giving them a free cruise and all of their money back.
Are you shocked they had to cancel 12 more cruises? Sound off in the comments.
