The 11th Annual Trooper Duathlon will be held on Sunday May 4, 2014. The race is set to begin at 9:00 A.M.. As in the past, the event starts and ends at the Hurley Town Park on Dug Hill Road, and involves a 2 mile run, followed by a 14 mile bike ride, and then another 2 mile run. It can be done by individuals, or in a two-person team, and please stick around for the after-race barbecue.

This event is held to honor three fallen Troopers from Troop F, Zone 3 - Troopers Mike Kelly, Ken Poormon, and John McKenna. Mike Kelly and Ken Poormon were killed in a Troop Car accident on May 31, 2000. John McKenna was killed in action while serving as a Captain in the USMC in Iraq on August 16, 2006. Proceeds from the race go to fund scholarships given in memory of these three men. Please help support these worthwhile causes, and come out for a great day of fun for you and your family.
