11th Annual Power of D.C. AutoCross and Drag Race

The Electric Vehicle Association of Washington, D.C. will host its 11th Annual Power of DC AutoCross and Drag Race on Saturday and Sunday June 11 and 12, 2011. The event will be held in Hagerstown, Md. and features both hybrid and electric vehicles. Attendees can enjoy watching entrants showcase their EV's best moves around the SCCA AutoCross course at Valley Mall. Then, they may witness some of the most fuel efficient drag racing around at the Mason Dixon Dragway. 

Tesla Motors of D.C. will also be participating in this year's event. As an event sponsor, and the only electric vehicle dealership in the city, the automaker will be there to support the AutoCross event and to showcase its all-electric Tesla Roadsters.

Many outside the automotive community may be surprised to learn that electric vehicles have been on the road long enough for this to be the association's 11th annual event, but EVA/DC has been supporting electric vehicle enthusiasts since 1980.
