The Library of Virginia is sponsoring the 11th Annual People’s Choice Awards. Virginia authors are awarded for the best fiction and nonfiction works based on votes cast by readers.

The winners will be announced on October 18, 2014, at the 17th Annual Library of Virginia Literary Awards Celebration, presented by Dominion and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Readers can vote in their local public libraries or online at the Library of Virginia’s website. Voting is open through June 30, 2014.

Fiction finalists include David Baldacci (King and Maxwell), Lauren Graham (Someday, Someday) & Lee Smith (Guests on Earth). Nonfiction finalists include Scott Berg (Wilson), Slash Coleman (The Bohemian Love Dairies) Dean King (The Feud: The Hatfields and McCoys).
