Ordinarily you probably wouldn't think of serving a plain, old can of Campell's Chicken Noodle Soup to your family for dinner. But the Richmond Meijer store has select varieties of Campbell's Condensed soups on sale this week and at 10 cans for only $10 you're looking at a pretty inexpensive entree. Here are 11 things you can serve with Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup to provide a tasty, hearty dinner for your family.
- Tossed green salad and french bread or biscuits*
- Grilled cheese sandwiches and a fruit salad
- Serve over mashed potatoes with hot biscuits on the side
- Cut canned biscuits into quarters and add to soup to make dumplings
- Serve in bread bowls with a side salad
- Crackers and a big slice of Chess Pie
- Tuna melt sandwich
- Fried bologna sandwiches
- Baked potato
- Bagels and cream cheese
Garlic cheese biscuits
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheeseburgers
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Combine biscuit mix, milk and cheese in medium mixing bowl and mix with fork until moistened. Beat well for 30 seconds.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart, on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450º approx. 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven.
Mix melted butter and garlic powder and brush on warm buiscuits before removing from baking sheet.
The Richmond Meijer store is located at 2013 Lantern Ridge Drive, just outside Interstate 75 on the Eastern Bypass. Prices are in effect through Saturday, April 9.
