- Before baking, roll biscuits in melted butter first, then in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

- Roll individual biscuits into large discs, fill one side with your choice of sandwich filling, fold over and seal edges, and bake until biscuits are browned. Filling ideas: browned ground beef, onions and a slice of cheese, sloppy joe, pulled pork, browned sausage, onions and green peppers, etc.
Fried apple pies
- Diced apples
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Pillsbury Grands Southern Style Biscuits
Cook apples in brown sugar and butter until tender. Roll each biscuit into a large disc and place some of the apple mixture on on half. Fold the other half over and seal edges. Deep fry, turning once, until lightly browned. Remove from oil and allow to cool slightly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Southern style strawberry shortcake
- 1 quart fresh strawberries (can also use frozen)
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar
- Pillsbury Grands Southern Style Biscuits
- Whipped cream
Wash and hull berries, then slice. Add sugar, stir and let stand until juice forms, approximately 30 minutes. In the meantime, bake biscuits according to package directions and let cool. Top biscuits with strawberry/sugar mixture and finish off with a nice dollop of whipped cream.
Breakfast casserole
- Pillsbury Grands Southern Style Biscuits
- 1 lb. Sausage
- 1 small onion
- 1 small chopped green pepper
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
Bake biscuits, split, and use them to line a 9 X 13 baking dish.
Brown sausage, onion and green pepper, drain grease and spread over the biscuits.
Sprinkle cheese over top of ingredients in dish.
Whisk together milk and eggs and pour over cheese.
Bake in 350º oven for 20 – 25 minutes, until eggs are set and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Monkey bread
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cans Pillsbury Grands Southern Style Biscuits
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (if desired)
- 1/2 cup raisins (if desired)
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 butter or margarine, melted
Lightly grease a 12 cup tube pan.
In large bowl or plastic food storage bag, mix sugar and cinnamon well.
Separate biscuits and cut each into 4 pieces. Coat each piece with the cinnamon and sugar mixture and arrange in pan, layering with nuts and raisins, if desired.
Mix melted butter or margarine with brown sugar and pour over biscuits in pan.
Bake in 350º oven 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned and biscuits are no longer doughy in the middle. Allow to cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
