11/365 A Year of Places in Photography-Calipso on the Columbia

After quite a spell of gray and rainy days here in Astoria, Oregon, February 2, 2013, Ground Hog Day, we awoke to clear blue skies. Everything, including the flotilla of ships on the River looked larger than life, as if we were seeing them through some kind of prism. The Calipso, a cargo-carrying freighter was docked in the River channel most of the day. Today when I awoke, she was gone as were the clear blue skies.
