10th Annual Old Mill Days reveals the Americana Celebration

Old Mill Days http://www.oldmilldays.com/ excitement is building as lumberjacks, strongmen and chainsaw artisans prepare for a celebration of Americana. The quaint and quiet community of Port Gamble, Washington http://www.visitkitsap.com/cities.asp?ID=3 will come alive with the buzz of chainsaws, the rock and pop music of XLB, the whirring of speed carving and the vibrant sounds and colors of patriotic fireworks displays by the amazing Boomtown Productions. The July 4th weekend will be filled with breath-taking artistry and gripping suspense as spectators watch aerial lumberjacks in motion, a pristine classic car show and the Toughest Timberman Competition.

Friday, July 4 – Noon to 11:00 p.m.

Chainsaw Champions will be competing for trophies and prizes. Competitions are also scheduled for Ice Sculpture Carvings and Speed Carving. The Beer Garden and live bands will begin at 5:00 p.m. Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy the Lumberjack Show, Hot Saws and an outstanding Fireworks Show Extravaganza, highlighting the county’s largest shell ever fired on land. The local cemetery will lend itself to an amazing photographic opportunity during the fireworks display. So claim your spot, aim your camera and capture some amazing July 4th images.

Saturday, July 5 – 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The day will be filled with Lumberjack Show competitions such as: Chainsaw Pro Carve Champion Competition, a variety of Classic Chainsaw Carving Auction, Hot Saws, Ice Sculptures, Speed Carving and fireworks. Stroll among the vendor displays and enjoy watching as skilled artisans create masterpieces before your eyes.

Sunday, July 6 – 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There is a new light division for the Kitsap Toughest Timberman contest. The heavy weight division and light weight division athletes will be vying for prizes and first place titles in a variety of challenges. Visitors to this final day of events will also be able to enjoy Hot Saws Unlimited, Ice Sculpture Carvings, Speed Carving Competitions, Chainsaw Carving Auctions and Chainsaw Champion Race Finals.

So find your patriotic shirts and hats, grab your cameras and folding chairs and make way to Port Gamble Washington for the most amazing July 4th celebration! After seeing the Boomtown Productions Demo Show a few weeks ago, this Fireworks Extravaganza will be spectacular!
