Women in Film.Dallas is holding their 10th Annual "Chick Flicks Festival" the week of October 25th at area theaters.  This 3-evening event provides opportunities for female filmmakers - local and international - to showcase their work.

Chick Flicks Schedule:

  • Day 1 (Tuesday, October 25):  "Miss Representation".  Screening at Studio Movie Grill (Royal Lane @ 75) at 7:30p.
     
  • Day 2 (Wednesday, Octobr 26): "Who Does She Think She Is".  Screening at The Modern Art Museum in Ft Worth at 7:30p.
     
  • Day 3 (Thursday, October 27): "Chick Flicks Festival Short Film Competition".  Screening at The Angelika Film Center @ Mockingbird Station at 7:30p.   Day 3 is the traditional Chick Flicks Festival format with screenings of short films from Texas female filmmakers.  Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite film to receive the Audience Award, and find out which talented woman will receive the Jury Award.  Mix n' Mingle begins at 6:30 p.m. with an after-party at Margarita Ranch.
