$10K trout tournament to be held at Aurora Reservoir

Do you love to fish? Could you use an extra $10K? If so, you may want to enter Aurora Reservoir’s $10K Trout Tournament happening next month with a guaranteed $10,000 cash prize to the biggest (based on weight) trout caught during the one day, six hour tournament.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 19th from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Aurora Reservoir (5800 S Powhaton Rd). A free lunch will be served to participants at the end of the tournament and the award ceremony will follow at 2:30 p.m.

There will be two divisions: Adult/Senior and Youth. Both divisions will vie for one $10,000 cash prize and there will be up to five additional prizes per division.

During the tournament, gas boats will not be allowed and watercraft inspections will be required.

To participate, registration must be completed by May 18th and the entry fee is $40 per person. You may register online at $10,000 Trout Tournament or at the reservoir’s office.
