OK, so "101" is a lot of mistakes to be aware of. But when you are planning a wedding (for the first time, presumably), you may get caught up in the excitement, and may believe that nothing wrong could possibly befall your wedding...
...Well, this brings us to Mistake #1 that brides make: Believing things will go "perfect." They won't. It may be something minor, or forbid that it is something major...but no wedding has gone off completely without a hitch (no pun intended.) As much as you may think that "it won't happen to me," reality and history says that it probably will....and that's ok! Life isn't perfect, and you should be focusing on the fun and the excitement of what you are entering into (marriage), and not minor wedding details.
As far as planning goes, quoting from an article by Nina Callaway from About.com, "The wedding industry is just that - an industry. So while there is a lot of good advice out there, there is also advice from people who'll profit from it."
As I have always stated, it is up to YOU, to take things at face value and truly make your own decisions, and set your own priorities...after all, it is YOUR wedding, and all the advice in the world may not apply or be appropriate for you.
So with that being said, here is a collection of "Lists" found scattered around the internet, offering help and advice, and giving tips on "mistakes to avoid" and such. There is 100 suggestions in all, so as you sift through these lists, make sure that you ask yourself "does this apply to me?" and "does this fit in with my wedding priorities?" If you answered yes to both questions, there is a lot of good advice to be found below:

To throw my two cents worth in, we did not get a videographer because my hubby didn't want to get one. I wish I had argued harder for one because the whole day went by so fast it was just a blur, and there are so many things that I/we don't even remember about the day. A video would have been nice so we could actually see what our wedding was like. We had... See More a singer at our ceremony (or at least we paid for one!) and to be honest, neither one of us even remembers any singing! To this day I wonder if she did a good job. :)
