Pattern Stitches:
Treble:Yarn over (yo) hook twice, insert hook into indicated stitch, stitch, yo and draw up a loop (lp) (you will have 4 lps on hook), yo and draw through two lps,
(you will have 3 lps on hook),yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hook), yo and draw through two lps (you will have 1 lp on hook)

Back Post Treble (BP tr)

Yarn over (yo) hook twice, insert hook from the back side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row; yo and draw up a loop (lp) (you will have 4 lps on hook), yo and draw through two lps, (you will have 3 lps on hook),
yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hook),
yo and draw through two lps (you will have 1 lp on hook)

Front Post Treble (FP tr)

Yarn over twice, insert hook from the front side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row; yo and draw up a lp (4 lps on hook),
yo and draw through two lps (you will have 3 lps on hk), yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hook), yo and draw through two lps (you will have 1 lp on hook)

Materials: 12 ounces of sport weight yarn, F/4.00mm crochet hook

Instructions:

Row 1: Ch 73, tr in the 4th ch from the hook and in each of next 3 chs, *skip 4 chs, in the next ch work (2 tr, ch 1, 2 tr-shell made), skip 4 chs, tr in each of next 4 chs,

rep from * across; ch3 and turn.

Row 2: *BP tr around each of next 4 tr, shell in ch-1 sp of shell, rep from * across,

ch 3 and turn.

Row 3: * FP tr around each of next 4 tr, shell in ch 1 sp of next shell, rep from * across,

ch 3 and turn.

Rows 4-65: Alternating, rep rows 2 and 3. Fasten off after row 65.

Cut remaining yarn into 12 inch lengths. Working across the short ends, fringe in every other stitch.
