10-year-old raped by 8-year-old in elementary school bathroom

Our kids may be failing in their subjects at school, but a grisly report out of Oklahoma City suggests they are mastering certain dubious “life skills."From station KFOR comes word that a 10-year-old female was sexually assaulted in a bathroom at Edgemere Elementary School by two students, one of whom was a classmate, the other her 8-year-old kid brother.

The child’s mother says she was waiting in the pickup line for her daughter after school when her 10-year-old daughter came running towards her crying and shaking.

The mother was mortified when the child told her what had happened.

“She came out with her knees and hands shaking and crying. I jumped out of the car and asked her what was wrong and she said ‘mama they touched me down there,’” said the little girl’s mother.

The child proceeded to describe the details of the attack to her mother, explaining that while a female classmate held her down, the girl’s 8-year-old brother penetrated her.

The Oklahoma City School District says it notified the police department immediately after hearing about the alleged sexual assault. Officers were summoned to the school and escorted the family to the hospital, where a rape exam was conducted. The medical paperwork confirmed that the child’s wounds were consistent with sexual assault.

“I’m not just blaming the kids,” said the mother. I blame the teachers that are supposed to protect our kids when they’re at school.” One would not be out of line in suggesting that maybe the parents of the rapist duo are doing a less than stellar job of child rearing.
