Take a look at the Rider Waite rendition of the 10 of pentacles. Here we see prosperity. There are ten pentacles floating in the air. If you consider the suit of pentacles to represent our material needs and our financial situation, then this depiction of the ten of pentacles suggests having all we require. The pentacles are everywhere. Each one is within grabbing distance. There is no financial worry here. There is no question of how the needs of the people we see in this card will be met.
Notice also that this is not a depiction of a solitary figure. Here we see a man, a woman, a child, and dogs. This is a family. This is a family that is provided for. The family we see here is strong. Just as this family is provided for financially, so too is it strong no matter what. This is a family where each member is taken care of. Nobody here is forgotten or left behind. When one member is sick or weak, the others bend over backwards to help them. Each member of this family is important and each member is valued. There is no “black sheep” here. Each member is appreciated for his/her attributes.
When you look at the ten of pentacles, let come to your mind, a strong provider. Why is this family unit so significantly provided for? Because the leader of the family has done a good a job at creating the abundance that the family enjoys. Here is somebody who is adept at generating security for his family and those he/she loves. This is somebody who can take a nickel and turn it into a dollar. They can take that dollar and turn it into a hundred.
Realize as well that the ten of pentacles represents the ability to find strong solutions. When you apply this to the idea of a strong family, keep in mind that one thing that makes it a strong family is that when problems arise, they are not simply dismissed. No, solutions are sought and they are found. Problems are not swept under the carpet, and they are not met with denial. They are faced head on and nobody backs down from them until they are solved.
When the ten of pentacles comes up for you in a reading, consider your own ability to generate abundance. Are you giving it your all? Are you doing what you must do to generate prosperity, or are you making excuses as to why don’t have what you need? Let prosperity be a mindset. Accept the reality that yes; you have what it takes to have all you want. You just have to do what it takes to get it.
