These days everyone seems to be interested in losing weight and keeping fit. Unfortunately, with our busy lifestyles it’s often difficult to find time to exercise. Here are a few easy 10-minute workouts that you can do just about anywhere.
Jumping Jacks are the perfect 10-minute workout. They provide great exercise that requires little space and no equipment. Jumping jacks will work both your leg and arm muscles and support your weight loss efforts. Simply stand straight up with your arms by your sides and jump by spreading your legs and extending your arms over your head. Return to your starting position and repeat the move, doing sets of 10-15 reps for a 10-minute period.
Standing Leg Lifts
If you are looking for a 10-minute workout that you can do even on the job try standing leg lifts. You will give your quadriceps, or front thigh muscles, a great workout. Stand straight with the back of your body flat against a wall. Then alternate lifting each leg fully extended in front of you. Try to lift each leg to the height of your knee. This exercise will tone your thigh muscles while strengthening your legs. If you haven’t used these muscles for a while you will experience soreness the first few days.
These two 10-minute workout routines will provide you with rigorous exercise which will rejuvenate and energize your body and mind. Since no equipment is required, you can exercise anywhere at any time. So grab a bottle of water and a hand-towel and be ready for a 10-minute workout whenever the mood strikes.
