10 games the Wii U eShop needs

When the Wii U launched in November 2012, Nintendo also equipped the system with the eShop that was also introduced on their 3DS handheld. The Nintendo eShop is just like Sony's PSN or Microsoft's XBLA. With a wide variety of games to purchase at low prices, nobody can go wrong with an eShop purchase.

Since the Wii U is less than 6 months old, the eShop is a little small at the moment. New titles are expected in the near future, but what exactly do Nintendo fans want to have? Here's 10 games that Nintendo needs to bring to the Wii U eShop as soon as possible.

1. Super Mario 64

Mario's 3D debut plays an important role in Nintendo's growth. The game is one of the first 3D platformers and one of the best selling games for the Nintendo 64. With the game being remastered in HD and a few extra levels, Super Mario 64 for the Wii U eShop would be a masterpiece.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Yes, it's true that 'Ocarina of Time' was remastered for the 3DS, but what about an eShop version for the Wii U? Being one of the best N64 games ever released, Nintendo could simply port the 3DS version or remaster the game as a whole. If this game came to the Wii U eShop, servers might be a little shaky due to excessive downloads.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

The sequel to 'Ocarina of Time' definitely needs a place in the eShop. There has been a leaked trailer for an entire HD remake of the game for the Wii U, but since 'Wind Waker' is receiving that kind of treatment, 'Majora's Mask' is better suited as an eShop release.

4. Pokemon Snap

Yes, "Pokemon Snap" for the N64 was a great game. It's extremely clear to many gamers that the game should be remade for the Wii U, but as a side project, Nintendo could simply twist a few mechanics of the game and release it in the eShop. Seeing this game in the eShop would give gamers the idea of a sequel.

5. Mario Party Collection

Imagine if you could have every 'Mario Party' game that was released for the N64 and Gamecube on your Wii U? There are 7 games total and for $5 per game that is rendered in HD, Nintendo's eShop sales would explode. Each game could add extra features and GamePad implementation for even more family fun.

6. Super Mario Sunshine

One of the best Mario games for the Gamecube being available on the Wii U eshop would be great. Since "Super Mario 64" was already mentioned, why not have the second 3D platformer in the series? With improved gameplay, the game is promised to be a hit once again.

7. Super Smash Bros. Collection

With all 3 games being remastered in HD for the Wii U eshop, gamers will ultimately rejoice and praise Nintendo for this excellent choice. With the upcoming release of "Super Smash Bros. 4" within the next year or so, gamers can play the other 3 games in the meantime.

8. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2

Both games in the 'Galaxy' series have received a wide amount of critical acclaim from critics all around the world. Since both games are in SD and require a Wii remote, new Wii U owners can't experience the series. If Nintendo can release both games in HD and allow GamePad gameplay, you can bet that gamers will pay for it.

9. Yoshi's Story

Yoshi's debut on the N64 was one of Nintendo's timeless classics. With unforgettable gameplay and an upcoming Yoshi game coming for the Wii U, gamers will be able to relive the "Yoshi's Story" experience.

10. Donkey Kong 64

No, you won't need an "Expansion Pak" of any sort if the game came out for the Wii U. Being one of the best Donkey Kong games ever created, gamers won't be disappointed in the slightest even if they only bring this N64 title over to the eShop.
