Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke tells the story of a young man who becomes cursed with an animal demon’s scar that grants him superhuman strength but will eventually kill him. He leaves the village in hopes of finding a cure and comes across a girl, San voiced by Claire Danes, who thinks she’s a wolf and hates humans.
Like all of Miyazaki’s films, this one is a must see with the plot set in ancient mythological Japan.
