10 African Americans to study for Black History month

February is Black History month, also known as National African American History month. It is a time to reflect, honor and remember the contributions by great African Americans who helped shape U.S. culture. Black History month traces its origins to the historian Carter G. Woodson, also referred to as the father of black history. Woodson promoted Negro History Week and Black History month followed.
