Could there be a rap battle reconciliation in the works?
Following the (pretty one-sided) Twitter feud that erupted between Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel and took the Internet by storm, Yeezus himself will be appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" tomorrow, ABC announced on Tuesday.
The storied feud began way back on Sep. 26, when West responded to a segment on Kimmel's show that parodied a recent interview West did with the BBC in which the rapper and the interviewer were portrayed by children. West responded with a string of angry tweets lashing out at Kimmel, who coolly declared his show to be at "Def-Kanye Five" and was apparently delighted to finally be in a rap feud.
The tweets in question have all since been deleted from West's account, but not before they were archived for eternity by bloggers and entertainment reporters everywhere.
Kimmel announced the news himself through his own Twitter account this afternoon, adding, just to quell the skeptics, "(for real, yes and was it all a setup, no)." No word on whether the segment with West will involve some sort of comedic aspect or simply allow the two to settle things once and for all. Either way, it's sure to be a TV moment many will want to catch on Wednesday night.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" airs at 11:35 weeknights on ABC.
