It's been well over a month since Miley Cyrus shocked dang near everyone with her twerky performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and we're still talking about it. If that's any indication, her hosting and musical gig on Saturday Night Live tomorrow is sure to keep the discussion going.
According to Hollywood Life on Thursday, a source close to the 20-year-old singer says that her singing performances are going to be "talked about more than the VMAs."
”She is going to be very controversial and use the live aspect of the show to her advantage, and also take advantage of the lateness of the show to cross some boundaries and be very scandalous,” the source added.
The source reportedly also shared some tidbits on what tomorrow's sketches will consist of. For instance, Miley is said to be addressing the pregnancy rumors that began swirling this week about her and rapper Juicy J.
As for the potential of mocking her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, it appears that nothing is off limits.
“She’s totally cool with the breakup and not running from it,” an insider told HL. “She would so be down to do something or mention it for the sake of comedy."
Naturally, twerking will not go unmentioned either. Think a whole monologue with SNL cast members giving it their best shot, with others dressed up as those weird VMA bears. No word on whether there will be a "Miley Cyrus Show" sketch featuring Vanessa Bayer as Miley (Bayer was tight-lipped on whether she'd be dusting off her impression this week), but it's probably a good bet since the real Miley appeared as Justin Bieber opposite Bayer on the faux talk show last time she was on.
To sum up: if you're sick of all things Miley, tomorrow might be a good night to steer clear of NBC.
