Appearing with President Obama was a who's who list of Oregon Democrats. Oregon Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden, as well as Oregon Congressmen Earl Blumenauer and David Wu shared the stage prior to President Obama speaking.
Obama alternately wowed and charmed the crowd with humor and political wisdom.
President Obama is currently on a West coast, four-day campaign swing, raising money and rallying voters in Oregon, Washington, California and Nevada.

Why am I not surprised that you got all gushy about Barry stopping into town?
I listened to him on the radio, he sounded more like a rock star wannabe than a president. I continue to be disgusted by the amount of time he spends blaming the Bush administration for the problems that he spent $750 million convincing the American voters that he knew how to solve.
Listen to any of those guy's speeches and try to count the number of times he refers to himself, it is very hard to do because almost every sentence has an "I" in it.
When I was in grade school in Santa Fe New Mexico, they let us out of school so we could go see President Kennedy when he came to town. I certainly remember the event and don't recall him talking about himself.
Good little useful idiot! the glorious cause thanks you for your multiple paragraph blow job of the Chosen One. You forgot to mention the palm fronds and cries of "hosanna," however.
OK, so you start your last paragraph with "When I was in grade school..."
Different times and different politics - this is not the Kennedy era.
The Republicans have chosen to square off against the Democrats, and not only they've been absolutely obtuse in their plans to fix the economy, they've been so rude to a President who is just trying to do what's right for America.
Obama did say "We are more proud to be Americans than being Democrats." Why do the Republicans continue to fight when we should work together. The treatment Obama has received from the media, the Republicans, and those crazy Tea Baggers is ridiculous, childish, and extremely damaging to our country. It needs to stop immediately.
I don't blame Obama for wanting to protect his image against so much heinous and unnecessary backlash. I, and I will say "I" - I am totally disappointed in my fellow Americans. I did not expect they'd be so ignorant of the policies and political decisions their own political party made.
I want change. So many people want change. We need something better, but as long as Republicans at the Hill continue to sit on their hands, we'll never become the nation we ALL aspire to be.
