Starting today Michael's is teaming up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Canada. For one month, beginning today, March 21 to April 19, these organizations will join together with a goal to collect 1 million books to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Canada. This is its third year for the book drive and last year Michael's donated over 600,000 books.

Michael's is the largest specialty retailer of arts and crafts and is hoping to reach its goal of 1 million books. Michael's stores will also be selling one dollar classics like "Little Women" and "Black Beauty" for purchase so that customers may donate as they visit their stores. You can also drop off any mildly used books at any Michael's location. There are over 1,100 locations in 49 states and Canada which include Aaron Brother's Stores. Michael's also provides exclusive brands like "Loops and Threads" and "Bead Landing".

Executive Vice President - Merchandising Philo Pappas states, "We hope our customers will join us in our efforts to donate a million books to these worthy recipients."

Reading is so important for everyone, so if you have books that you have read and want to donate, stop by your local Michael's Store and bring the gift of reading to someone else today.
