$1 million 'Black Ops 2' championship put forward by Microsoft and Activision (Photos)

Today, it was announced that Activision and Microsoft have engaged in a partnership to conduct one of the biggest competitive gaming events yet. With this new partnership, 32 teams will be gathered to compete in “Black Ops 2” for a prize total of $1 million.

As can be seen on the official website for Call of Duty Elite, groups of four players can now compete in the February Season of League Play to qualify for this event. “The Call of Duty® Championship, presented by Xbox is just around the corner, taking place on April 5th - 7th, 2013 in Hollywood, California, and you have a chance to be there by enlisting and participating in the Call of Duty Championship 2013 World League Champions Series Online Qualifying Contest!”

At the end of the February season of League Play, the eight top teams of “Black Ops 2” for the Xbox 360 will be selected to take part in the Call of Duty Championshops.
