A little over a $1 million Apple heist took place on New Year's Eve by several armed robbers. The heist happened at an Apple store in Paris, France, and was the first of such large magnitude to happen in the country, according to the Wall Street Journal.
On Monday, around 9 p.m., gun-toting thieves broke into the Apple store that was located close to Palais Garnier and stole $1.25 million worth of Apple products, said a police representative on Tuesday.
Authorities are currently investigating the robbery and more details will be available in the coming days.
The French media estimates the loss to be €1 million, or approximately $1.25 million dollars. However, police haven't confirmed this amount and later gave the following statement:
"It is too early to give an accurate estimation of the damage. An inventory is taking place to determine the exact amount of the damage,"
