A man was shot to death during a bar fight that left two others injured early Saturday morning in Richland County.

Hours later, the Richland County Coroner identified the deceased victim as Mr. Travis Singleton, 29, of Sandhills Estate in Eastover.

Mr. Singleton died at the scene, Coroner Mr. Gary Watts said. But he has not released any details on how many times the man was shot or where in the body he was struck.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. at Club Climax at 3500 McCords Ferry Road, officials said.

Richland County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene after a fight spilled outside into the parking lot and ended in gunfire.

When deputies arrived, Mr. Singleton lay dead in the parking lot, according to The State newspaper.

Two other victims, whose names have not been released, had been driven to Palmetto Richland Hospital, the sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Curtis Wilson told the paper.

Their conditions were not immediately known.

Witnesses said the fatal shooting started out as a verbal altercation inside the club, the paper reported. But it’s unclear what the argument was about and how many people were involved.
