Happy St. Valentine’s Day. Join others in you community who are part of the 1 Billion Rising: a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls everywhere.
V-Day is a day set aside to catalyze creative events to raise awareness about the need to stop violence against women. One in three women will experience violence in their lifetimes, and V-Day will turn the world stage into an arena for events worldwide, asking women and girls to find or organize an event in your community, and stop, gather, dance and celebrate the right of all women and girls to live peacefully and free from violence.
In Astoria, Clatsop Community College is hosting a 1 Billion Rising event Organizers are asking our community to rise up together against violence against women.
