Police have arrested one man and are searching for another in the deadly shooting of a 22-year-old man at an Alpharetta townhome.

And they are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the wanted man's arrest.

On Wednesday, police arrested Mr. Jerad Terel Owens, 22, in Sandy Springs for murder, armed robbery, burglary, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Alpharetta police spokesman Mr. George Gordon said.

They are still searching for his alleged accomplice Mr. Shane Demetrice Woods, alias Yung Slim, on similar charges.

Mr. Woods, 22, is believed to be headed out of the state and is considered armed and dangerous, Mr. Gordon said. Police are asking anyone who spot the suspect to call 911 immediately.

The two are accused of killing Mr. Zachary Rose, 22, of Canton, on Monday.

At 6:24 p.m. that day a man called 911 to report that he had just witnessed a shooting at the Whitestone Ridge town home community, according to Alpharetta police.

Officers and emergency crews responded to a townhouse where they found Mr. Rose suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Mr. Rose was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he later died.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mr. Woods is asked to call 911 immediately.
