02/01/2013: Top Three ways to save money at a nightclub

Have you ever wanted to go out on a Friday or Saturday night, but didn't have the money to do so? Although nightlife can be expensive and very costly at times, there's a way to get the most out of your weekend withoout breaking the bank. Here are the top three things you can do to enjoy a night-out on a budget.

Guest List: This is available at most nightclubs and can be found on their main website. Most guestlist include no cover for you and a few of your friends up until a certain time of the night. Most covers can range from $5 to $30. If you can take advantage of getting on the guestlist, the money saved on entry can be used for a round or two at the bar.

Social Media: Many nightclubs and promoters have their own social media sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, etc.) Typically a few days before they host an event, they might have specials for those that 'like' their page and provide some freebiews which may include discounted drink specials and VIP tables. These can be important for those who may want a birthday party, but doesn't have hundreds of dollars to secure a table and bottle service.

Get to know your Bartender: Building a good relationship with the bartender is important. It builds trust and can even turn into a friendship. If you take care of your bartender, they will take care of you--especially with drinks and food specials. If you can maintain this relationship, you will see your wallet staying happy each and every venture out.

Hopefully these tips will allow you to enjoy an great night on the town, while at the same time keeping you afloat financially as well.
