Artist Annie Heckman will be exhibiting a glow in the dark site specific installation at the Arts Center Highland Park, March 6-March 29,2009.
The exhibition, For A Limited Time Only will feature: Shawn Stucky, Jess Witte, Marci Rubin, Wendy Kveck and Annie Heckman. These artist artwork deals with the ephemeral. During March, their artwork will disintegrate, dissolve and disappear. The opening reception is March 6, 6:30-9:30pm. The Art Center of Highland Park is a quick ride north of Chicago proper and located at 1957 Sheridan Road in Highland Park.
Annie Heckman is an artist based in Chicago. Her work explores mortality and afterlife ideologies through sculptural animation installations and works on paper. She has shown her work in numerous spaces, including exhibitions in Chicago, New York City, and Budapest. She is the founder of Step Sister Press.

It's so cool to see this here! The piece is standing (precariously, of course) and the other installations in the show are really impressive. I'll be there with all the other artists and our curator on Friday so I hope you can all join us!
