If you have a lot of extramarital affairs, but you don't have Tiger's budget for sex rehab, then this iPhone app may be the next best thing.
Called TigerText, (supposedly named after the animal because they are good at covering their tracks) this app allows you to control how long your texts can be read by the person receiving the message. That's because the messages are never actually stored on the other person's phone, but on TigerText's servers, and only by downloading a special reader, does the recipient gets to read the message.
Because of this, you can tell the company when to get rid of the text, (or evidence, depending on the situation) choosing from a variety of "lifespans" which range from 60 seconds after reading up to several days.
Since the person you're sending the message to must have the TigerText software, both the sender and the recipient must have an iPhone, since the program is only made for Apple right now. However, Blackberry and Android versions are on the way. When you send a message to another iPhone user, they receive a prompt to download the app.
Right now, you can try the app for free, sending up to 100 messages over 15 days, but after that the service costs either $1.49 per month for up to 250 messages, or $2.49 for unlimited texts. Not everyone will be thrilled about paying a monthly fee to manage your risque texts, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than sex rehab.
