June 20th through the 28th, groups around the world will hold vegan bake sales to raise money for various causes. Bake sales are being held all over the United States and other countries such as Demark, Australia, England, Nigeria, Greece, New Zealand, and Canada. The purpose of the worldwide bake sales is to raise money for charitable causes and to promote awareness about vegan foods and the vegan lifestyle.
Two bake sales will be held in Minneapolis on Saturday, June 20th to raise money for the Animal Rights Coalition of Minneapolis. ARC is the oldest animal rights organization in Minnesota, and is committed to ending the suffering, abuse and exploitation of animals.
Vegan foods do not contain meat, eggs, dairy, or any products derived from animals. While the vegan diet offers numerous health benefits, the main reason people choose this lifestyle is so they do not contribute to the suffering and abuse of animals.
